CRA Publishes IC72-22R10, clarifying provisions of the Income Tax Act that pertain to RRSPs

The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) recently published IC72-22R10 Registered Retirement Savings Plans (RRSP), updating an earlier circular regarding RRSPs.

Circular IC72-22R10 clarifies certain provisions of the Income Tax Act that apply to RRSPs and outlines the CRA’s registration requirements for issuers of RRSPs.

The CRA states that this circular cancels and replaces information circular 72-22R9 dated June 17, 1996.
