FSRA's latest pension update includes solvency report and pension sector overview and activities report

The Ontario Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) published its latest pension update on Feb. 29.

The update includes a Q4 2023 solvency report and the first annual Ontario Pension Sector Overview and Activities Report for pension plans regulated by FSRA.

The regulator has also clarified that the Proposed Pension Benefits Guarantee Fund (PBGF) Assessment Calculations and Deadlines Guidance posted for public consultation on February 14th, 2022, is not in effect.
