Manitoba officially implemented the Family Support Enforcement Act, established by Bill 17.

This new Act grants authority to the support enforcement director to request written information about a support payor's pension, including pension benefits, pension credits and pooled registered pension plan accounts. This information can be sought from various sources, such as individuals, the government, or other entities. The purpose is to gather comprehensive details about the support payor's financial situation, including income sources, assets, liabilities and pension-related information.
