Ontario introduces Bill 139 – Less Red Tape, More Common Sense Act, 2023 – for first reading

Ontario introduced Bill 139 “Less Red Tape, More Common Sense Act, 2023” which has been ordered for Third Reading.
Bill 139 amends subsection 22(4) of the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario Act, 2016 to reduce the minimum period during which the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario is required to give reasonable opportunity to interested parties to make written representations with respect to a rule it proposes to make from 90 days to 60 days.
