On June 8, Ontario officially passed Bill 91, which includes amendments to the Pension Benefits Act.

Plan administrators are no longer required to send reminder notices to retired plan members regarding communication forms. Retired plan members can, at any time, request the administrator share documents with them in written form, versus just electronically.

This can be seen in Schedule 27, which repeals subsection 30.1 (4) of the Act, known as the Less Red Tape, Stronger Economy Act, 2023.
