Ontario’s Bill 139, Less Red Tape, More Common Sense Act, 2023, received royal assent on Dec. 4.
The update amends the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario Act, 2016, reducing the minimum period during which FSRA must give “reasonable opportunity” to parties interested in making written representations to a rule it proposes to make from 90 to 60 days.
