Ontario's Financial Services Regulatory Authority releases November Pension update

The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) has released its November 2023 Pension Update.

The update includes details on changes made to the FSRA pension plan examinations process, the requirements for filing an annuity discharge as well as a reminder from the regulator on the importance of timely submission of filings.

FSRA is also requesting stakeholder input on its Pension Plan Amendments Guidance as well as a consultation paper related to the development of a FSRA Family Law Rule.
