OSFI provides updates to instruction guides, forms in latest issue of InfoPensions

Canada’s Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (“OSFI”) published the 32nd issue of its InfoPensions newsletter on May 28, 2025.
The latest edition of InfoPensions features updates and reminders for plan administrators, actuaries and other pension providers, including:
- A summary of OSFI’s recent updates to plan instruction guides and related forms regarding the completion of actuarial information summaries, annual information returns, and financial statements;
- The results of OSFI’s latest estimated solvency ratio for federally regulated defined benefit pension plans, which indicated that the median estimated solvency ratio as of December 31, 2024, was 1.20, up from 1.17 at the end of 2023; and
- A reminder of the deadlines and regulatory requirements for submitting annual plan filings and plan amendments.
