The Financial and Consumer Affairs Authority of Saskatchewan has updated its bulletin on unlocking pension monies.

The bulletin provides an overview of when funds in a pension plan or locked-in retirement account (“LIRA”) that are subject to The Pensions Benefits Act, 1992 and The Pension Benefit Regulations, 1993 may be unlocked, including due to financial hardship, shortened life expectancy, non-residency, and more.
