He assists clients with the interpretation of plan documents and day-to-day administration issues, such as pension division on marriage breakdown and benefit entitlements.

  • Acts as lead lawyer handling escalations for a national charitable organization with members in every province and territory in Canada.
  • Advises an Ontario broader public sector institution with multiple pension plans, and regularly handles escalations which address enrollment, benefit entitlement and payment issues.
  • Acts as pension counsel for a major Canadian financial institution with multiple federally and provincially regulated pension plans, regularly drafting plan documents and advising on tax and minimum standards.
  • Drafted plan documentation for a new jointly sponsored pension plan established to consolidate multiple single employer pension plans. 
  • Acted as pension counsel in pension dispute related to entitlement to death benefits.
